Hi, I'm Carrie!

I’m so glad you’re here! Since you’ve found your way here, chances are we share a belief in something pretty powerful: that when we surround new parents with compassion, encouragement, and meaningful support, we’re not just helping a family- we’re helping communities thrive.

A Little About Me

I'm a mom of four boys, an educator at heart, and someone who understands firsthand that every family's journey looks a little different.

With 15 years of experience in education, a background in school counseling and family and consumer sciences, and hands-on experience caring for young children, I've dedicated much of my life to supporting children and families.

My own experiences with motherhood, blending a family, and caring for a child with complex medical needs have deepened my understanding of just how important compassionate, individualized support can be.

Why I Chose This Work

When I became a mom for the first time, I quickly discovered that pregnancy, labor, and delivery were actually the least challenging parts of my journey into motherhood. Nothing quite prepared me for those first three months postpartum.

I was fortunate to have loving women in my life who offered their support. But looking back, I realize I needed more help than I even knew how to ask for. I needed information, reassurance, practical guidance, and sometimes simply someone to listen.

Those early months taught me something I've carried with me ever since: even when a new mother is surrounded by love, she can still feel overwhelmed and unsure. And she deserves support through all of it.

When I first became a mother, there weren't nearly as many resources readily available as there are today. Much of what I learned came through trial and error. Today, parents have access to an incredible amount of information, but sorting through all the advice, opinions, and expectations can feel overwhelming in an entirely different way.

Through my years working in education and, more recently, providing in-home childcare, I've discovered how much I love helping parents better understand their babies. Whether it's answering questions about development, sharing practical ideas, or offering reassurance during an uncertain moment, I've found so much joy in helping families feel more confident.

Becoming a postpartum doula and newborn care specialist felt like a natural next chapter for me. It brings together my background in education and counseling, my experience caring for infants, and everything motherhood has taught me.

I believe that when we support new parents, we're doing more than helping them through a challenging season. We're strengthening families, building confidence, and creating a foundation of support that extends far beyond the newborn stage.

ā€œMy goal isn’t to tell you how to parent. It’s to help you feel confident in the parent you’re becoming.ā€
